The art of conscious breeding
The history of Can Ferrer is the story of a passion that began at age seven. A childhood bond that would mark the beginning of a life project dedicated to the excellence and nobility of these unique animals.
International Training
The Can Ferrer estate belonged to his wife's grandfather, Mr. Ferrer, who also felt great esteem for donkeys. Upon reaching adulthood, Jordi traveled to France to train in selective breeding, acquiring his first specimens at the prestigious "La Barbotterie" breeding center.
Later, in search of maximum genetic quality and unique colors like the sorrel coat, Jordi contacted Frank O'Sullivan in Ireland, bringing international-level specimens to Spain that today define Can Ferrer's standard of excellence across Europe.
